Oh Theia, Greek goddess of sight and vision, you who also endowed gold, silver and gems with their brilliance and intrinsic value, thank you for these 3 beautiful and sparkle gems we are honor to present: Sapphire, Emerald and Amethyst.
Summer has just started and we are bringing our last collection of this amazing 2024, Act III. These swimwear colors are not only representing wonderful gems but also the vibrant colors of summer. We listen to your comments and messages and we wanted to:
1- Add a long waited new green to the Lyctus family: there you have Emerald.
2- You know we love blue colors, we love them because we see the oceans through them, and as there are many different tones of blue in the oceans, we are in the constant look for all of them. Now we introduce Sapphire.
3- The Arandano color is one of your favorite ones of all time from us so, we wanted to also give a new addition to that pantone: Amethyst.
Summer body?
We also want to remind everyone that from Lyctus we embrace diversity and inclusion to the fullest and we think we need to clarity something which is very important. The concept of body diversity is essential in promoting inclusivity and self-acceptance, especially during the summer season when swimwear becomes a staple. The celebration of all body types, including toned and gym bodies, alongside a myriad of other body shapes and sizes, is crucial for fostering a culture that embraces individuality and challenges narrow beauty standards.
As summer approaches, the anticipation of beach trips, pool parties, and sun-soaked days often brings with it the pressure to conform to a certain body ideal. For decades, the media and fashion industries have predominantly showcased a narrow range of body types, often highlighting slender, toned, and gym-sculpted physiques as the epitome of attractiveness. While these bodies are beautiful and deserve recognition, they represent only a fraction of the diverse spectrum of human forms. A truly inclusive approach to body diversity means celebrating every body type, from the athletic to the curvy, from the petite to the plus-size, and everything in between.
Swimwear, in particular, has historically been a point of contention in the dialogue about body image. Bikinis, one-pieces, and swim trunks are often associated with the ‘perfect’ summer body, a notion that can alienate those who do not see themselves represented. However, the growing body positivity movement is changing this narrative. We are recognizing the importance of inclusivity by offering swimwear in a wide range of sizes and styles designed to flatter and accommodate different body types. This shift not only allows everyone to find swimwear that fits comfortably but also helps dismantle the idea that only certain bodies are ‘beach-ready.’
The inclusion of toned and gym bodies in the conversation about body diversity is essential. These bodies, often the result of dedicated fitness routines and healthy lifestyles, deserve to be celebrated just as much as any other. Fitness enthusiasts and athletes should not be excluded from the body positivity movement; rather, their physiques should be embraced as part of the diverse tapestry of human form. This inclusivity sends a powerful message: that health, beauty, and confidence come in many shapes and sizes.
Moreover, we know that showcasing a variety of body types in swimwear campaigns could have a profound impact on public perception. When people see bodies like the ones we expose — whether toned, muscular, curvaceous, or otherwise — represented positively, it fosters a sense of belonging and self-acceptance. It encourages individuals to appreciate their own bodies and to understand that they too deserve to enjoy summer activities without shame or hesitation.
Diversity of bodies in swimwear also promotes healthier attitudes towards fitness and body image. It shifts the focus from achieving a particular look to celebrating what our bodies can do. Whether it’s swimming, playing beach volleyball, or simply enjoying the sun, the emphasis should be on the joy and freedom that come with these activities, rather than on how one looks while doing them.
In conclusion, embracing the diversity of bodies means recognizing and celebrating all body types, including toned and gym bodies. By showcasing a broad spectrum of physiques in swimwear, we can promote a more inclusive and accepting society. This approach not only helps dismantle unrealistic beauty standards but also empowers individuals to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. WELCOME TO THE LYCTUS LIFESTYLE
